About the Company

Softsys Technology Management is an Australian Software Development company. Established in 1992 STM's team of 30 has set the following goal for our Java Restaurant Management System (JRMS). "To give our customers a simplified, reliable solution to their needs. Our customers will continue to be excited by our progressive and timely solution"

STM presents JRMS as a "Total Solution" for the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry. Designed with the multi site franchise in mind JRMS can offer its customers Point of Sale, Back Office and Head Office Systems providing effective control over the critical elements of Money, Food and Labour and the distribution of Data to and from its restaurants.

STM has provided its Point of Sale, Back Office Manager and Head Office systems to the franchisees of Burger King, Hungry Jacks, Red Rooster, Domino's Pizza, KFC and others. Well over 1000 sites have been installed across Australia, New Zealand, Guam, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, China, Taiwan and Indonesia. Since 1999 Burger King Corporation has used RMS in all its restaurants in Australia. The Head Office system is the strategy of choice for controlling the distribution of data to and from its restaurants and as a data warehousing facility.

STM provides an "open system." This means that we do not lock our customers into proprietary equipment. STM sets some necessary standards for performance and connectivity but remains true to being an open system - the customer can make competitive choices. STM tests and recommends a list of accredited hardware. This is published on our web site. Our customers help drive the evolution of this list.

STM provides services through "System Integrators" (SI's). STM can offer information on established SI's with current certification based in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, Thailand and Philippines. The customer makes the best competitive choice and STM offers extensive on-going training courses and certification for new SI's, established SI's and customers. STM is always developing the network of System Intergrators.

Meet The Team

Norman John Bernard

is Managing Director and CEO of STM. He is responsible for overseeing the company's development and direction including our software solutions primarily targeting the Food and Beverage industry. Norm is very active in the Marketing and Promotion of our products. Norm possess 26 years of experience in software development industry. Prior to STM, he served as State Manager of IPEX Computers handling the operations, sales and distribution for Western Australia. He helped grow IPEX from a small family business to its status of being the 3rd largest computer hardware manufacturer and distributor in Australia when he left. Norm has also served as Managing Director and Co-owner of Zortec PTY, Ltd., a software development company which specialized in Rapid Application Development (RAD). Norm is an active member of International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) and currently holds the rank of 4th degree black belt and International Instructor. He is currently President of the ITF in the Philippines and has served as ITF Board Member and President of the ITF Asia Federation. He was qualified as a fully licensed and registered real estate broker and auctioneer in Australia.

Norman Karl Bernard

is an Account and Project Manager for STM. He joined STM in February 2002 and is responsible for managing client accounts, maintaining high quality satisfaction service, developing new marketing strategies and developing sales processes to ensure operational efficiency. With over 7 years of experience in sales and marketing in the software industry, Norman has significantly increased the sales rate of the company. He is also well adept with STM's various products aimed at the Quick Service Restaurant industry. Norman undertook a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Management at Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia.

Anthony James Horton

is Product and Operations Manager of STM. He joined STM in December 2000 and is responsible for the System Integrator Program which includes the training, documentation, renewal test and support for the integrators.

Anthony has traveled extensively throughout Asia Pacific Area conducting numerous training courses and store installations. To date, he is also writing specifications and ensuring that the development team in Philippines produce the necessary software requirements for all new software versions.

Anthony holds a bachelor's degree in Information Technology in 1999 at Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia. His expertise include databases, system analysis, system design and software development cycle.

Ma. Victoria Pineda

is Office Administrator of STM Philippine Office. She is a core-pioneer of STMPI, joined in February 2001. She is responsible for the corporate financial and accounting functions, administrations, and legal operations. Victoria also oversees the review of all contracts and acts as liaison with external attorneys and bankers.

Victoria possess over 27 years of experience in providing essential information and advices in financial management, financial control and procedures as well as taxation. Prior to STM, she has served World One Solutions Philippines, Inc. as Finance and Administrative Manager.

Victoria holds a bachelor's degree in science Major in Accounting in 1980 at Holy Angel University, Angeles City, Philippines. She is currently a licensed Certified Public Accountant and hold a 1st degree black belt under International Taekwon-do Federation (ITF).
